Calorie Burning on a Time Crunch

calorie-burningWhen deciding on a workout every time you go to the gym there are thousands of options. If you are on a time crunch or you just want a great workout that will burn lots of calories, a full body workout is the way to go. Keep in mind when putting your workout together to hit all the major muscle groups. You can do the workout in a circuit or you can go from upper body to lower body muscle groups. Keep the rest time short between sets. Each muscle group will get rest as you move onto the next one. Here is a sample workout that will get your calories burning and your muscles pumping.

  • Dumbbell chest press/ Dumbbell fly: 10 reps of each
  • Squat jumps: 20 reps
  • Bar curls 21s: 7 reps from bottom to the middle, 7 reps middle to the top, 7 reps full range of motion
  • Walking Lunges with weight: 30-40 reps
  • Shoulder Press/ Upright rows: use a bar weight 10 reps of each
  • Dead lift: 20 reps
  • Tricep Bench dips: 20 reps
  • Burpees: 10-15 reps

Do this work out 4 sets through if you can only do 3 the first time around that’s fine. Push yourself and you will get there. Always start with a good warm-up and remember to stretch at the end. Have a great work out…
