Most people have the assumption that when you do resistance training you will become bulky and look like a body builder, but that is a myth! Weight training has many great benefits such as prevention of osteoporosis, an increase in metabolic rate (the rate at which your body burns calories at rest), an increase in strength, and get your body looking great. Remember that fat takes up to five times as much space as muscle, therefore replace body fat with lean muscle mass by weight training to lose inches! When it comes to weight training, the benefits definitely outweigh the risks and myths if done properly. So get out and do some resistance training because your health is your wealth!
